I wore my Indonesian shirt today. Everyone thought it was really cool, except Frank.
CHEMISTRY!!: We started second block today. There was a fight in the hall. I was there, but didn't see much in the crowd. I saw a girl shouting to the floor. We did a lab. It was pretty sweet. We put Alka Seltzer in water and collected the CO2. I think the reaction went like this:

NaHCO3 + H3C6H5O7 --> CO2 + H2O + NaH2C6H5O7

Me, Phil and Alec were in a group.

English: Mrs Pearn wore huge glasses. Today was Halloween. We took our Latin Quiz and then a wrote an essay "On Paradise Lost". It was really an essay "On Atheism", even though I did not mention atheism once.

History: Talked about Islam. I was tired. In lunch, I saw someone dress up as a communist. They had a hat and an arm band.

Band: We struggled with our third show, but in the end, it doesn't even matter. GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS!!! We had a Pep Rally. Yeah, we messed up a lot. Seniors won the shout contest again. We celebrated our football team making the playoffs. And we're going to crush Warren Howland!!

We were defeated. The bus ride was like an hour long. Adam Roskoph dressed up like neo. He found a cel phone and when someone called it, he said "This is Trinity". It was funny. We got candy too. We went through a toll booth. Never knew Diana Rendine was an anime buff. I had a philosophical revalation. All on our bus ride. When we entered the city, there was an anti Twinsburg atmosphere. People were giving us thumbs down and stuff. I thought we were going to be egged. I think all of Twinsburg was there. It wasn't that bad. We were winning in the beggining, 3-14. The other band dressed up for Halloween. In the second half, they started gaining, and we went into over time, 17-17. Man, we were so close. They missed their field goal. But they said our field goal was no good. But in the end, they scored a touchdown, and we lost, 24-17. Twinsburg left in despair. "ROBIN HU! YOU COST US THE GAME!!" -Ryan Hawkins.
Our bus got stuck in the mud and so did a lot of other cars. They had to get a tractor out and pull the bus out. When the bus did get out, it started driving away, and everyone, including me, chased after it! The bus ride home was long. I just layed there, silent. The alarm kept sounding, but Doug found a way to shut it up. I got back home at around 12 midnight.

Engish: I plan to submit something to Tiger Prints. I might right something about Atheism. Last night I wrote a short story called "my long lost brother". Today was boring as hell. We read Paradise Lost by Milton.
Chemistry: Took a quiz. I struggled with the prelab, but in the end I realized there was no problem at all.
History: Had a substitute. We studied for the first half and took a test in the second half. I may have missed some questions. They played a funny game of spin the bottle at lunch.

Band: Immediately we set up in the auditorium. We played our entire show. Hope there's an audience tonight. I gotta be at the THS by 6:45, and the concert starts at 7:30. Tomorrow we meet at the THS for the playoff game at 5:15.

Frank spray painted his model of a B-29. He got chrome paint. The thing's pretty sweet, except there's a mess in the garage. We have like 100 bars of crappy candy to give out. We'll just let the kids take a handful. Get rid of that sh*t.

We performed our marching band concert. Yeah, I made many mistakes. During the dance and in the music, since I didn't have my music. Lots of people showed up. Mr Ski cracked many jokes; the microphone broke; he forgot to make us bow. In the end, we had lots of fun.
We dubbed the intro to Frank's Hiroshima documentary. We played "Attack" from Pearl Harbor. I said Truman's atomic bomb quote from August 7, 1945. Yeah, now Frank's movie is really good.

English: Me and Ali worked on a worksheet for "A Valediction: Forbidden Mourning" by Milton. Oh God it was boring. I was about to kill myself.

Chemistry: So boring. Notes, classwork. Everyday.

History: Talked about Russia. I hear we are going to have a sub tomorrow.

Band: We practiced the THIRD show for playoffs (meet @ 5:15). Tomorrow is our Marching band concert (meet @ 6:45). We played our songs. Ski kept us about three minutes after. He was really angry.

I went to Frank's concert today. I think there was like 20 people there. It was pretty good. They played songs like "Mantras" and "Mozart's Symphony No. 40". I didn't know Mr. Damon Conn could play the guitar!! We bought some chips (Lays) for refreshments. Yeah, Richard said that was "real smart".
Yeah, I made another CD. This one features music from Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke. There are 24 tracks on it. I added some other extra songs. Frank made the CD cover.

Almost missed the bus this morning!
English: Okay, we read some stuff by Milton and John Donne. Yeah, he was very sexually active. It was funny.
Chemistry: I got a 90/100 on my test, but the test was curved and I really got a 90/94. My grade for the first nine weeks was a 97. We just took some notes on PV=nRT.
History: We talked about Byzantine and Russia. Nothing exciting today.
Band: We practiced our THIRD show for playoffs this Friday. We took all our chairs into the auditorium. At first they said "GO BACK" because there was orchestra on the stage. But Ski said "GO INTO THE AUDITORIUM!!". We practiced our Marching Band Concert. In the end, we had to take all those chairs back. I hate it so much. I left around 2:15. The buses almost left!!

Me and Frank finished the Hiroshima movie. Man, this movie is so funny. Frank drew a mustache on his face with a marker and pretended to be a Japanese expert on Hiroshima. He taped a poster and drew messy diagrams on it. After that, we aired some more atomic footage and then showed the credits with a small tribute to Hiroshima. We played the song "Chant" from Black Hawk Down. The music fits almost perfectly. This is a pretty entertaining film!

English: Well, I have a 99.8 in this class. Mrs Pearn is TOOOOOO nice, and let us choose our own seats. I chose a seat close to the board and close to the TV, while everyone else sat in the back. We worked in groups on Shakespeare's sonnets. I was probably the only one who understood the poem.

Chemistry: We also got new seats today. I wanted a seat in the front, but I still remained in the last row. It's all random. We just learned the intro to the gas laws and that was it. It was easy.

History: We started a new chapter: Byzantine and Africa. I answered a question wrong. Jeff Bolles laughed at me. Oh well, no ones perfect. I was a little, "dazed and confused" today. I did get a 100 on my unit test. Bolles got a 94 and I think Jay got a 90. John Szabo got an 80. Most kids got anywhere from a 60-70. The test couldn't have been THAT hard.

Band: SKI WASN'T HERE AGAIN!!! Damn. Pahner took over. Chaos. I don't think there was a second of silence. We played all our songs, to prepare for the concert this Thursday. We also have playoffs this Friday.

I brought home my "THUNDERSTIX". Cory Boyes had a lot of fun with them on the bus.

Frank didn't come home because he had orchestra. We began filming our HIROSHIMA documentary. Man, this movie is sooooooo retarded. Frank kept screwing up his own film. He either choked on his line, or broke the wire, or pressed the REC button. It took like an hour just to film the crappy Hiroshima stock footage. Frank then wanted to film the interview with a Hiroshima survivor. I was to play Dr. Tanaka. I put on some big glasses and my Chinese hat. I would speak in Japanese and Frank would dub over it. It was kind of funny, considering in the end, we recorded some of the TV. We plan to have a debate dialogue between a Pro-nuclear and anti-nuclear fanatic.

I got up at around 8:15, which turned out to actually be 7:15 because of Daylight savings. So basically, I was eating breakfast and watching TV at 7:30 in the morning.
I fixed another problem on my PC. Apparantly, when I try to install or run some programs, I get a message that says:

C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast 4\aswMonVd.dll. An installable Virtual Device Driver failed DLL initialization. Choose 'Close' to terminate the program.

When I choose 'Ignore', the program runs fine. But this gets annoying. I searched online, and found out, that if I go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\VirtualDeviceDrivers\VDD in my Registry and delete VDD, it fixes the problem.

I found several other Atomic Bomb footage for our movie. We filmed the opening today. It starts out with a powerpoint, then it shows some atomic stock footage, with me narrating. I say "Atomic Warfare...Used only once in history to end the greatest war of mankind. It harnessed the basic powers of the universe and was unleashed on those who bought war to the east. It would become one of the greatest and most important events of the 20th century.".

Frank is such an idiot. He wanted to make paper mache. He's making a model of a B-29 bomber. He already cut up a good folder and is using clean white paper. WHAT A FRICKEN WASTE!! He also wants to cut up my science fair project poster. I said "NO!! Cut your own damn poster! So, that's what he's probably doing right now."

We went shopping. We went to Sam's, Officemax, Catalano's, and CVS. We were looking for batteries for my watch, but didn't find any.

I had a funky dream last night. I was with the band, and we were on the shore of a lake, probably Loch Ness. All of a sudden, two green heads with long necks pop out of the water. They're very smooth, and they duck back in the water when we scare them. They're the loch ness monsters! Perhaps a mother with her child.
Switch scenes. We're in a sort of swimming pool or aqarium. Me and Frank are there with another man, who wants to DISPROVE the existence of Nessie. He drops a bottle of "LIME" into the pool which turns it red. It's supposed to scare any living creatures. He says "Well, where's the shadow?". Suddenly we see this HUGE shadow in the water and it freaks everyone out! I think I screamed "OH MY GOD!". I was sitting on the edge of a wall!
Switch again. We get a close up of Nessie with her mother in a shower of some sort. They look kind of like whales.

Frank said he got an electric shock today. What an idiot.
In Chinese school, we just talked about the Warring Three States in China. I got a 36/40 on my SAT math test.

Me and Frank worked on our Hiroshima Video. Turns out some other kid named Pedro is doing something on the Atomic Bomb as well. Fag. Oh well, ours will be better. We tested some audio and video editing on our camera. It works great. Frank made a powerpoint for our opening sequence. It was just a black screen with the titles: "FRANK HU PRESENTS, A DOCUMENTARY ON, HIROSHIMA." I even found some atomic footage from online we could use in our movie.

English: Took our Latin bases test, and then for the rest of the class we just talked and played games.

Went to go see Hrbek. He showed me JJ's mousetrap car. That thing, is awesome.

Chemistry: Took our chapter four test, and I just sat around.

History: Took our Unit test. Four essays. Wow.

Band: We practiced one last time. We then played at a Pep Rally. The seniors won the shout contest.

Okay, onto my final chapter in my mousetrap car chronicles. We finally raced the cars. I think my car broke. The front wheel slipped and the frame was falling apart. I had to tie it back with a rubber band. This had to happen on the day of the race! It was me, JJ and about four other girls. JJ had a record for a wheel, and his went 17 meters. Mine went about 10 meters. Those were the two best distances. I can't believe no one showed up. We just talked for a while. Hrbek said that good engineers do these kind of things. We tested our cars on a smooth floor. They performed much better, and mine could even climb up a hill, only to fall back down. JJ's car couldn't climb up a hill! We put our cars in Hrbek's room, so we can film them on Monday during third block. JJ got a bowling trophy, and I got some noise makers.
I then went to the library, where I read a book about UFOs. Mom picked me up, and I came home to type out my blog.
If there's another race, I'll be there, with a bigger and better mousetrap car.

Our last game was a success! WE BEAT MAYFIELD 35-0!!!! It was the senior show, and we had a fun time! During half time, Ryan Hawkins I think, kept shouting "ROBIN HU!!!". It gets annoying after a while. After the half time show, they sprayed sticky string over everyone, including Pahner and Ski. Adam Roskoph also poured flour all over Ski's head!! We had a fun time!! Ski got a little mad during post game though. I don't know if we're going to the playoffs or not.

Frank tested some filming techniques today. I watched his video, where he basically taped a powerpoint on my moniter. It looks okay. I just got to make sure I get into the credits! He even played "Township Rebellion" by Rage Against the Machine.
Thursday, October 23, 2003

English: Okay, today we took a sample SAT test. Well, If that was the SAT, then I failed the SAT!! I got a 17 out of 39. Pathetic. We got our pictures back too. Oh my god, I look so evil in this picture!! I look like >:-\. Oh well, I didn't have my glasses on. I got a 72/70 on my Renaissance test.

Chemistry was easy today. We just worked with some conversion factors and that was about it. Phil and Lindsey asked me for some help. No prob, I just helped them.
H3PO4 --> 3 H+ (aq) + PO43- (aq) .

We took our Roman test in History. I missed four problems on the front. Don't know about my essay. Brandon Vondrak showed a funny picture of himself on his ID. Yeah, it was funny.

Band was LOUD today!! We stayed inside, but played our show. In the end, we stood up and marked time as we played. Mr Ski always makes us work to the very end.

Tommorow is the mousetrap car race. I'm going to stay after school. It'll last at least an hour. I'll bring my cel phone and call mom. If it's early, I'll wait at the library.
I made my final adjustments to my car. I moved very slightly the back wheels and now my car goes fairly straight. It's very delicate. But now, my car won't waste energy going in different directions. It will go straight. Perfectly.

Me and Frank saw the French film Amelie. Wow. Such a good movie. If everyone saw this film, the world would be a better place. It was funny, sad, romantic. Loved this movie. I give it a 10/10.
Wednesday, October 22, 2003

English: We took a test on the Renaissance. Mrs Pearn said I got probably one wrong out of all four pages.

Chemistry: We did a lab, where we put Aluminum in a NaOH basic solution. Yeah, it started fizzin. I think the equation was:
Al + H2O --> Al(OH)4- + H2.

History: Reviewed stuff on Rome. I'm gonna study tonight. Mrs Pearn came in and told me I had one wrong on my test. I thought I missed more. Oh well. Easy test. I'm really gonna fail the history test.

Band: BAND SO WAS FRICKEN COLD TODAY!!. I could not feel my fingers. Thank god our season is almost over. Two more days.

JaW2714 just came on. I got cory's screenname: thsband25
I drew a communist star on my mousetrap car; the race in two days. I tried to fix my old car, but I just made it worse. So much for trying. I actually had a dream about the mousetrap car race last night!
I'm talkin to Jamie Wischmeier.

We have fricken rats in our house! Not only in our garage, but in our basement as well! We came home to find all the tiles under the desk to be scattered everywhere. This is the SECOND time!! It coudn't have been the kitties. It was either Symba or the rats. Dad got mad.

Mrs. Grenert said I should have taken the PSAT. I could have gotten National Merit. YEAH RIGHT! Like they'll give me a scholarship. We did a review in English. Me, Ali and Ahsan were a group. We presented the Faerie Queene.
There were 6 people in chemistry. I was so frustrated at those dumb redox equations. I was about to commit suicide. We played a game in History, where two people ran for Emperor and they had to go around convincing the senate, army, provincials and barbarians to give them money. Me and Evan were a pair and so was Shawn and Jay. Well, first try they beat us. I became a sentate. Shawn had me killed. It was a little silly. People pretended to assassinate each other.
Band sucked today. We didn't accomplish anything. I am NOT joining band next year.

A List of My favorite People
  1. Mao ZeDong
  2. Lenin
  3. Stalin
  4. Hitler
  5. Karl Marx

I just saw the movie Adaptation, starring Nicholas Cage, Meryl Streep and Chris Cooper. It was funny, and sad. Very graphic, but nothing I can't handle. I'll give it a 9/10.

Have a new background. ATOMIC BOMB!
Mousetrap car race is this Friday!
English: Well, thank God we finished Macbeth. I didn't read. We have to take a huge test.

Chemistry: Same old, same old. Notes, classwork. Michelle took my pencil and did some kind of divinity test, where if you dangle it over a woman's right wrist, you can tell how many kids they will have!

History: We had a sub today, Mrs Hagedesh, or whatever. We saw a video about Hadrian. I did my homework and then laid on the ground.

Band: We basically learned our Senior Show. We go into an airplane and into an "04".

Went to the park again. Frank didn't come home today. He had some orchestra practice and came home around 5:30.
I added a tire (rubber glove) to my other wheel on my mousetrap car. Man, this car is going to be a winner. I even drew a Chinese flag on it.

Dad rented a new car today!! I just noticed it. He rented a Toyota Corolla and it was pretty nice, but the door lock system sucked, because each lock was independent.

Me and Frank tested the cinematography with our camera. It was okay, especially with the red film over the lens.

About Two months ago, I sent in a rebate for my Kogi moniter. I still didn't get it back. Today, I filled out the rebate form for my Epson Stylus C84 printer. It's $20. I had better get it back sometime in my life.

Oh God, we went to Westfield Mall, aka Southpark Mall. Yeah, we bought some cloths. Went to Brookstone. Went to Waldenbooks. We used our $25 gift card. They had lots of Manga, which is what me and Frank really focused on. Mom wanted to get a bunch of Bread books and gardening books. BORING!! We ate at Quiznos. After an hour of arguing, mom got Frank a Screenwriting for Dummies book and a Bread book. I wanted to get an Escher book, a crime book and some manga. I tried finding "A Brief History of Time" by Stephen Hawkings. They had pets there. I saw a bunch of cats.
Saturday, October 18, 2003

Today was Tag Day. I had to get up at 7:00. I went with Bobby, Clark and Martin Williams. We had to take the Ethan's Green route. Rich community. Well, I went with Bobby. First couple houses, we got a check for $10 and a couple Fives. One house we went up to, a man came with five dollars and asked what the donations are used for. I hate when people ask that. He told us to give him $3 and he'll give us the $5, making the net total $2. So I said, "You are giving us $2". He said "Yeah, that's what I gave you. Don't like it, you can give it back!". Yeah, some woman gave us a bunch of change. I think we got about $17 worth of change. In total, I think our group got over $160 in donations. We met an old lady, who was baking ginger bread. She had a daughter who lived across from her. Both gave us $5. Me and Bobby even had a 30 second rule for each door! When we got back, I took three new quarters from the change pile and replaced with them with three of my own quarters. I found an Indiana, Maine and Alabama quarter. I left just when the pizza came. I got a slice and left with mom.

At Chinese school, we took a quiz. In SAT class, I got a 39/39 on my test. First good grade in a while.

We went to Sixflags today! Turns out we couldn't see the Haunted Houses for free. Oh well, they suck anyway. We rode the Villain twice. It was cold. We watched Oz-mania, a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne.

I'm gonna make another CD. This one will feature music from The Offspring, AFI, and Yellowcard. I'm going back to punk. Punk Rock is okay.

Friday, October 17, 2003

English: Read Macbeth. Nothing new. I read Seyton's part.

Chemistry: Well, we took notes on Redox reactions. A little confusing, but I think I get it. I was drawing diagrams for a catapult.

History: We talked about Roman Baths. We saw a short part of a video about Roman Baths. I sat on the floor.

Band: Practiced our THIRD show, what we will perform tonight at Brush. We also learned our SENIOR show.

I did my Chinese homework, so I wouldn't have to do it on Saturday, because I have tagday. I think Clark and Bobby are in my group. I'm downloading songs right now. Songs from Yellowcard. I might make a punk CD.

WE SCRUBBED BRUSH! We beat Brush, 16-9. I talked to Bobby in the stands. I also talked to Frank about his Hiroshima Project. Got tag day tomorrow. It was cold, but not as bad as my Freshman year. That year, it was freezing.

Thursday, October 16, 2003

English: I read the part of Macduff. I accidentally read the part of Malcolm, which was Ali's part. oops. I got a three musketeers bar.

Chemistry: Took notes on Acid Base reactions. Michelle Miller asked for my help. Yeah, Yeah I'm not that smart.

History: We presented our emperors today. I presented Domitian. My presentation was okay. It wasn't really boring, but it wasn't that exciting.

Band: We learned our Senior show. A guy flying in his parachute flew over us and we waved. Our formations are pretty cool; they're like spirals and stuff.

Mom left for an appointment at around 5. Some deer came onto our front lawn. Frank scared them away. The bastard. I made a pizza. I hate that "Make Your Own Pizza" by Mia. It's the crappiest pizza ever.
I'm downloading more songs. There aren't that many good songs anymore. I'm starting to go back to punk rock.
Wednesday, October 15, 2003

English: We watched a movie version of Macbeth. I didn't read today.

Chemistry: Well, we took a notebook quiz and that was it. After class, I went to Hrbek's room to see him about the mousetrap car race.

History: Today, we just learned some stuff about Rome. Talked about government a bit. Watched a biography on Caesar. I'm doing some research on Domitian, so I can give my report tomorrow.

Band: We went outside and practiced show 3, which is what we will perform at Brush. I also signed up with Clark Rice for tag day this Saturday.

I went to the park again. There's some big news. First, a body, possibly Shakira Johnson's has been found. Also, a ferry boat crashes onto the dock at St. Georges in New York. 10 are dead. China launches it's first manned space mission! They are the third nation to travel to space.
Frank is making pizza. He bought some White Parmesean Cheese and is freshly grating them. He also added HAM to a pizza!! GoD! He just doesn't know how to make pizza!

Tuesday, October 14, 2003

English: Sucked. Man, I was feeling so bad. I had a runny nose and mucus was everywhere. I chose to read the part of Macbeth. Damn, never do that again. It's a lot of work. At least I got Smarties. Man, I had a huge string of mucus hanging from my nose. It was sick. I was sick.

Chemistry: Took some more notes on stuff. Got a 100% on my second quest. I went to the bathroom.

History: Learned some stuff about Rome. We saw a video about the Punic Wars. Yeah, it was funny.

Band: Ski gave us a long speech today, on our behavior and discipline. Brian White did get in trouble. Oh well. We got music for the Senior show. It includes Phantom of the Opera, DangerZone, Hot Stuff, What is Hip?, and Sell Out!

I watched Saving Private Ryan today. Oh yeah, that movie is awesome. I still give it a 10/10. I really want to see the Pianist.
Monday, October 13, 2003

English: Read Macbeth. I read the part of Banquo. Ali wanted me to help him find info on PC Phones.

Chemistry: Took some notes and that was it. Worsencroft showed us a cool demonstration, where he put Ethyl Alcohol into a large bottle and lit it on fire. It made a huge fire and a loud noise. Michelle Miller looked at me and said "I wish I was that smart". I'm the only one answering questions. It's too quiet.

History: Well, we learned some stuff about Rome. That's it.

Band: DAMN! We had another sub today!! We played for half the class, and Sonny dismisses class 50 minutes early. I did some of my homework. The sub (Italian guy) asked me what Brian White and Mike Watkin's names were. Yes, they're going to get in trouble! I got them in trouble. Good. Who cares. They're the scapegoats of the band.

On the bus, some kid who sat next to me asked me and Frank some questions, such as what our favorite sport is, etc. I told Frank to close the window. He said he didn't open it, so he won't close it. I said do it anyway. In the end, I closed all the windows. I also found Ashley's sweatshirt and gave it to her.

Take the "F" out of "Weigh". "There is no 'F' in way!".

I'm typing this from the living room PC. The internet now works. I just plugged in the Netgear Adapter, and the thing just started working. This PC isn't that bad. Since I fixed it, it has been running just fine, maybe even better than Frank's current PC. I also got rid of the "EZTEXT.DLL" error. All I did was uninstall the IBM Rapid Keyboard software.

We went out to eat at Arby's. Yeah, I had an Italian sub. Then, we went to Cinamark to see the movie Kill Bill Vol1 by Quentin Tarantino. Well, when we got there, the box office lady said the movie was rated "R" and we needed IDs. So I changed my mind, and bought tickets for School of Rock! But we still snuck in a saw Kill Bill. Man, this movie was bloody. They had a cool anime sequence in it. Lots of decapitation and blood shooting everywhere. Man, Frank thought is was good! I give it an 8/10.

Whoa. I just had a philosophical vision. It seems as if all past memories, are false. It's kind of difficult to explain. When something happens, you are aware of it happening. But after some time has passed, your memory of this event fades. When you try to recollect it, it's hard to decipher. It's difficult to explain whether or not this even has actually happened. It's almost as if the event NEVER did happen! When someone thinks about the past, the memory is so abstract and so exaggerated that you don't know if that event it the truth or a lie. However, we know events happen because we keep records. What if no one kept records? Then all history would be lost, and we would never be able to recollect it in its true form.

I thought Pet Palooza was today. Turns out they rescheduled it for Spring '04. I connected my old IBM Aptiva in the living room. I really wanted to fix it. I knew this computer had a virus on it, the W32.Klez.gen@mm worm. I knew that was what caused it to slow down to a halt. So, I downloaded the removal software from Symantec. I saved it to my hard disk, then transferred it to a floppy. I then restarted the IBM in Safe Mode. The removal program would not work no matter what. So I went back to my room, and downloaded the software directly onto my floppy. It worked on the IBM! So it removed the Klez worm. Now, this computer is faster than ever!
This stupid worm slowed the IBM to a halt. It was hardly usable! Now, if I can just get the internet on it! It's useless without the Internet!

Man, there was a traffic jam on our way to Chinese school. So dad decided to take a detour, onto 480. I came about 15 minutes late. There was a power outage at the school! Man, there's like so many power outages! Our classroom was dark and loud with a fan. So we decided to go outside to the bleachers to finish the lesson.

WOOOOHOOO! Yes, thank God we don't have school today! I'm downloading a bunch of songs from WinMX. Kazaa sucks. All their music files are corrupt. WinMX is good. I'm thinking about making a new CD, this one featuring Guns N Roses, Bush, Alice in Chains, Evanescence, Jane's Addiction, Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam!.

Okay, nevermind. This CD does NOT feature Pearl Jam. They suck. I replaced them with Seether. Bush is pretty good. Not the president, the band! I really like Glycerine. The nice thing about Windows Media Player, is it converts all the songs to the same volume! The old version never did that, but this new version does! And it's free too! Windows is ten times better than Real!

I looked at the mathematics of my mousetrap car. I calculated theoretically how far this car can travel. Without coasting, this car can go about 4.5 meters, theoretically on a smooth surface. The coasting distance is almost the same, so total distance will be somewhere around 9 meters. I'm gonna say this car can travel 8 meters, if I take into account friction and stuff. So I may get somewhere from a 70 to 90!

We played Kenston tonight. Yeah, we lost 7-25. The alumni was here. It's kind of interesting seeing all those people who used to be in band. Our show was okay, but we made many mistakes. It wasn't cold.
Thursday, October 09, 2003

English: Mrs Pearn brought in some donuts. I took a sprinkled one. We read some more Macbeth. I chose to read the part of Lennox, but I never go to my part.

Chemistry: Took our second "QUEST". I discovered an error: The number 1.15g was supposed to be 0.115g. Mr Wosencroft corrected it.

History: Took our test on Greece. Yeah, I failed it ("A-"). We also got a new assignment: Rome. I had to do research on Domitian.

Band: We practiced our Homecoming show. We sucked so much, probably because we have retarded drummers. There was an assembly where they displayed the Homecoming court. The halls were decorated today. Our hallway had a Twister game board and a checker board. There was streamers and posters everywhere. The theme was Monopoly. They had game pieces and shit. It kind of fun, but by the end of the day everything was a mess. I had a sub for lunch.

I saw the movie Spirited Away tonight. Yeah it was awesome. Really good animated film by Myazaki. Give it 10/10.

English: Took a sample OGT test. It was the math section. There were 18 easy questions. Man, some kids said they would just guess, but It was so easy! Then we read Macbeth.

Chemistry: We got a 21/25 on our lab. Damn. I helped Phil with some of the math.

Histroy: Denges talked for a while about IQ. Someone asked what my IQ was and I said "I have no idea". The norm is 90-110. I have to study for the test tomorrow.

Band: We finished up our FOURTH show today. Man, it sucks so much. And tomorrow our period is shortened. We could barely play Mustang Sally and Sing Sing Sing!.

I was thinking about the idea of a FUSEE for a mousetrap car. I still have about 16 days.

Saw the movie Donnie Darko. Yeah, it was weird. Scary, psychological, yet funny. Give it an 8/10.

English: Read Macbeth. I played the part of the Captain. I got some Twizzlers. The teacher asked whether I would do anything to be the ruler of a nation, and I said yes. When she asked whether or not I will kill, I said 'Sure Why not?'

Chemistry: Finished our lab. Yeah, the Zinc Chloride was just some clear liquid. A funny thing happened. I went up to punch holes in my paper, and I accidentally dropped the hole puncher! It was like in slow motion! The puncher just fell and all the little round pieces of papers spilled everywhere. I picked them up of course!

History: Mrs Denges said my homework and Jamila's was among the best. We also saw a video about Alexander the Great.

Band: Continued to learn our FOURTH show. I could play most of my music along with some improvisation.

I made a website about my mousetrap car. View it HERE.

I printed out seven pages of chemical formulas today and added them to my book of formulas. They contain basic binary molecular compounds.

Man, our garage has so many mice. I go in the garage, and all I hear are these little noises. It's so frickin' annoying. There's probably a family of rats living in the wall. They get in through cracks in the wall. I put Grey Mimi in there. Man is she a good mice catcher. She caught a small mouse 2 seconds after she entered! She's in there right now, waiting for a mouse to cross her path. Grey mimi finally has a use!

English: We saw an A&E biography on Shakespeare. We answered questions. Read sonnet 29.
Chemistry: Did a lab where we poured HCl onto Zinc. Worked with Phil and Steve again. Yeah it was cool.
History: We read the play Bacchae by Euripides. I played the part of Pentheus.
Band: Learned our FOURTH show. I hardly know my music. I'm gonna practice tonight. We have two more days.

Okay, I went to the park to test my mousetrap car. Turns out concrete isn't a good place to test, I figured that out a long time ago. It works best on tile or wood, something smooth. I tested the car in the kitchen. It can go the entire length, but the arm has gone only half way. So I turned it around and let it continue to run. It went the entire distance again. So basically, on tile, my car can go about 20 feet. 20 feet is about 6.2 meters. Which means if we run this on a smooth floor, I could get anywhere from a 50-60! See a picture of my car.

I saw the Animatrix today. Yeah it was weird and cool.
We went to CompUSA and bought a new printer. This one is an Epson Stylus C84.
Yeah, we just installed it. It's sweet.

I gave my mousetrap car a face lift today! I drilled two new holes in the front, closer to the mousetrap by like half an inch. Then I sawed off the front end. Now my car is slightly under 12 inches. It also doesn't go striaght. I'm going to have to try to fix that.

Wow, my mousetrap car is going to be a winner! First, I removed the ball bearings from the spiked wheels. It made it lighter, but it didn't go much farther. Then, I used CDs for wheels. Man, this thing can go! It can go well over 4 meters. It is EXACTLY 12 inches long, maybe a fraction longer. Mom gave me the idea of using rubber gloves for the traction. This thing is awesome! All I need to do now, is glue some of the wood together and make the thing even lighter. Mom tried using another smaller wheel made out of a milk cap for my front wheel. My front wheel right now is pretty good...actually REALLY good. It keeps on spinning due to the ball bearings. Ball bearings make a big difference. The front wheel takes about 25 seconds to stop.

At Chinese school, a kid named Tim came and talked to us about AAYAT. We left at 4:00 to goto the library (Solon) where we got Spirited Away, The Animatrix and Cast Away, among others. We went to Burger King. Then mom took me to THS, where we then proceeded to the Hudson Band Show (Loud is Good!). Hudson was by far the loudest band. There was Stow, Waterloo, Woodridge, Garfield, Solon, and us of course! It was fun. We got some pop. I brung my "Jap Hat", as quoted by Cory Boyes.

Mom decided to touch up my mousetrap car. She added another front wheel and replaced the hook. I'm going to try using a different axle and change it back to a three wheel system.

I just tested my mousetrap car in the garage. It can go MORE than 5 yards, which is about 4.5 meters. Based on Hrbek's scoring system, I could get anywhere from a 40-50!

In english, Mrs Pearn handed out Quiz Passes which allowed students to use notes while taking a quiz. Figures. We weren't even that good for the sub. Why is she doing this? I didn't use it, but a lot of kids did. We reviewed some of the poems we read yesterday. In chemistry, we just took some notes and that was it. We saw another video in history, about Alexander the great. Man, I forgot about it. It was so cold in band. We had to learn our third show which we will perform tonight. We're playing Solon. It's going to be freezing tonight.

Okay, I touched up my mousetrap car. First, I cut another small piece of wood to support the two long slabs of wood. This should give it a lot of excellent support. I also cut off some wood from the tail end, to reduce the mass just slightly. I plan to eventually get rid of a lot of things, such as tape, rubberbands, excess wood, etc. I measured my distance, and it can go about 4 yards, no problem. If I under estimate, that's about 3.5 meters. I'll still get anywhere from 30-40 points. I wish we could have made our car longer, so I could have added a longer arm and made bigger wheels. But I guess this is what I have to work with. Right now, It is just slightly under one foot, which is good. It can't exceed 12 inches. I don't know if that includes the metal arm. If it does, I'm screwed. There's a little bit of spin drive when I test it on a tile floor. But the commons tile isn't that smooth. I want to try to remove the ball bearings holding my wheels. Those take up A LOT of mass.

MAN IT WAS COLD! We played Solon tonight. We lost, 14-21. It drizzled the whole night. I brought my hat. It was so damn freezing, I could barely feel my fingers. Ski even made us take off our storm coats for the show! I cannot emphasize how cold it was. They gave us free hotdogs though. Some alumni were here. Jay Jay marched with us in pregame.

Wow, today was mousetrap car mania! First, in English, we had a sub named Mrs Allen. I was probably the only one who took notes and actually did work. Everyone was just talking. In Chemistry, we just took some more notes. I went to Mr. Kirtley's room with Frank to get my Sibling picture. We took a test in History. We had to write an essay on the Seven wonders of the ancient world. I think I did well on it. I had a sub for lunch. In band, we continued to learn our third show. Mr. Ski said I didn't turn in my Gold Cards, when I did!!

Okay, now onto my mousetrap car chronicles. Today, I made a huge advance in my car. First, mom came home with some new wheels. Man, these wheels were awsome!! They were tiny saws, with spikes on them. They were kind of heavy. I put some ball bearings on my car. I had to drill a really big hole, which took a while. The ball bearings really help. My car can go about the same distance as my old one, but it can probably go farther. I still want to try to add CDs. My car can go at least 4 meters for sure. The spiked wheels and my old wheels work almost the same. I also attatched a lever arm to the mousetrap, and I got the string-hook system setup. This is an awesome car!

I'm creating another Rage Against the Machine CD. This one will have all the best songs, including a new song "Take the Power Back".

Okay, let me tell you about today. In English class, we read the remaining of Faerie Queene. Yeah, it was gross towards the end. Duessa and her old body, YUCK! In Chemistry, we took a test. We had a substitute. I think I did pretty good. In History we finished up the last reports and saw a video on the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. In band, we continued to learn the third show, which we will perform Friday AND Saturday. Saturday is the Hudson band show.

Okay, now the progress on my mousetrap car. Mom brought home some more parts from her factory. This time, she got two wheels and some ball bearings that fit in the wheel. It was perfect! I can now make a really, really smooth front wheel. I decided to make a new mousetrap car entirely from scratch. This time, the mousetrap itself is the base. I made it exactly 12 inches, but it's probably slightly too long. I plan to use CDs for the back wheels. If you spin the front wheels, they take like 30 seconds to stop. I still have A LOT of time to make this mousetrap car. I worked hard today. It's not that easy to saw wood in the cold. But it was okay. This is the FOURTH time I had to saw wood. First time was for my first mousetrap car. Second time, I was going to make another car, but I gave the frame to Ali Rana (now regretting). Third, I made a small car just as a toy. And this is the fourth car I'll be making. I HOPE this car will perform very well. Otherwise, it's a lot of work wasted.
